Butuan City- Registered nurses and staff of the National Nutrition Council Caraga volunteered during the massive National COVID-19 Vaccination Days (NVD) on December 1, 2021 at the Urios Gym, Butuan City.

In a proclamation No. 1253 released on 24 November 2021 government agencies and other instrumentalities are encouraged to actively participate and provide necessary support and assistance to the Department of Health, the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the National Task Force Against COVID 19 for its effective implementation.

NNC Finance staff, Ms. Jhomary P. Casuyon, who is a nurse shared that she volunteered to help reduce the load of the vaccination team and once again revive her skills on assessment.

Led by the staff of Manual J. Santos Hospital in Butuan and in coordination with the Department of Health Caraga, the December 1 vaccination in Urios Gym inoculated at least 900 individuals from the different sectoral categories.

Also provided volunteer support is the NNC Officer-in-Charge, Nino Archie S. Labordo and Nutrition Officer Rapahel P. Ochavo who are nurses by profession.

The National Vaccination Days campaign run from November 29, 30 and December 1, 2021 which calls on Filipinos to live out the spirit of bayanihan and participate in the “Bayanihan Bakunahan: Ligtas. Lakas. Buong Pinas”. #NASLabordo
