Bayugan City- “We should consider the whole community not only children but also the elderly, nutrition is for all”, Mayor Kirk A. Asis of Bayugan City expressed during the program implementation review conducted on 14 December 2021 at the new Agriculture Office in Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur.

The good mayor who is also the Chairperson of the Regional Development Council- Social Development Committee (RDC-SDC) shared his vision of a healthy and well nourished Agusanon.

Mayor Kirk acknowledged how supportive and eager are the Provincial Governor, Gov. Santiago Cane, Jr. and Congressman, Cong. Eddie “Bong” Plaza in ending the malnutrition problem in the province. They are always there to guide every local government units, they envisioned too to have zero case of malnourished children in Agusan del Sur, he added.

The good mayor appealed to his fellow local chief executives through the nutrition action officers, to remind the LCEs that nutrition is a program that should not be put on hold, it should not be excluded. Further, he requested to show them and give them the idea that nutrition is essential and should be a priority for the betterment of the community.

The acticity also inducted the Provincial and Bayugan City BNS Federation Officers with Mayor Asis as the inducting officer.  He also gave thanks and appreciation to nutrition prime movers of Agusan del Sur and to the successful nutrition program implementation. 

Further he shared for all to work together and foster a better working relationship as to continuously deliver the services to the people. #MPRayco
