Pilar Siargao 2022BUTUAN City - The Typhoon Odette had made a huge damaged on the Islands of Siargao and affected individuals and families are trying to cope up with the aftermath of the typhoon. Aside from the ravaged of Typhoon Odette, existing challenge of the COVID -19 virus has still to manage vis-à-vis the current post typhoon damages. Thus, to help in combating the pandemic, National Nutrition Council Caraga provided the Barangay Nutrition Scholars with health kits. Each of the kits has a bottle of alcohol, face masks and face shields.

A total of eighty (80) BNS health kits distributed on 7-10 January 2022 to Barangay Nutrition Scholars to selected municipalities of Siargao Islands in Surigao del Norte. These municipalities include Del Carmen, San Benito, Sta. Monica, Burgos and Pilar.

The provision of these health kits to Barangay Nutrition Scholars will help them protect themselves from the threat of COVID-19 virus as they rebuild their homes destroyed by the recent typhoon and at the same time help and assist in nutrition and healthcare related activities in their area.

As of January 20, 2022, needed entry requirements to Siargao Islands and in the Province of Surigao del Norte include SPass, negative RT PCR/Antigen test for unvaccinated and partially vaccinated while vaccination card shall be presented for those individuals fully vaccinated. #MPRayco
