This year, the National Nutrition Council Technical Working Group approved through ad referendum the 48th Nutrition Month theme which is, “New Normal na Nutrisyon, Sama-Samang Gawan ng Solusyon”. The theme calls for strengthened nutrition interventions and solidarity towards nutrition improvement as the country shifts towards living with the COVID-19 virus.
The said resolution before being elevated to the RDC was discussed during the Second Quarter Meeting of the Social Development Committee on 2 June 2022 of which the National Nutrition Council Caraga is a member.

Dr. Nino Archie Labordo, the Officer-in-Charge of NNC Caraga, said that the campaign further calls for a collective effort to improve nutrition as we move forward to a better new normal.

Everyone is invited to be part of the celebration by engaging to scale up nutrition actions in their own locality, Dr. Labordo added.

The 48th NM campaign aims to highlight the importance of nutrition in recovery, stimulate discussions on how to build back better the design and delivery of nutrition interventions, and encourage the participation of various sectors to promote nutrition. #RPOchavo
