Butuan City- Members of the Caraga MOVERS or the Multi-Sectoral Organization Envisioning an Empowered and Resourceful Society through Nutrition, took their oath of office during the Regional Nutrition Month Launching held on 4 July 2022 at the Events Center, SM City Butuan.

Department of Health (DOH) Caraga Regional Director and Chairperson of the Regional Nutrition Committee, Dr. Cesar Cassion administered the oath of office to the newly elected Caraga Movers officers.

The new set of officers are: Mr. Alfredo Plaza, Jr. of Agusan del Sur as President, Mr. Ismael Cubillas of RMN DXBC as Vice President, Ms. Nelsa Auron of Butuan City as Treasurer, Ms. May Diez of Radyo Pilipinas, Mr. Israel Palero of Love Radio Butuan as Auditor and Ms. Aiza Supas of Radyo Trumpeta.
The group was conceived mainly to strengthen the promotion of good nutrition through increased public awareness and facilitate a change of behavior of the population group towards good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle in order to prevent the onset and worsening of malnutrition problems both under and over nutrition and lifestyle diet related diseases.

Caraga MOVERS is actively providing news feeds and coverage related to typhoon Odette Nutrition Cluster response activities and other nutrition program implementation.

Likewise, the group is a member of the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Plan Implementation (MELPPI) in Caraga region.

Members of Caraga MOVERS are from the provincial/city information officers, publications from the academe (public/private), media groups (TV, radio, print, and v/bloggers) and from the private sector/ or civil society organizations. #NASLabordo
