Info Caravan July 15 AwardButuan City – Stakeholders and partners involved in the Information Caravan and Static Display of Rescue Equipment received a plaque of appreciation on 15 July 2022 at the Multipurpose Hall, Barangay Bonbon, Butuan City.

Aimed at increasing awareness and understanding of the importance of disaster resilience among communities, the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Management (RDRRM) through the Office of the Civil Defense (OCD) Caraga gathered various implementers to display rescue equipment and provide relevant information to mitigate impending event.

Among the active partners who supported the activity and received plaques of appreciation are from the Department of Health Center for Health Development DOH-CHD) Caraga, Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Butuan City DRRM, Philippine Coast Guard- Coast Guard District North Eastern Mindanao, 15th Regional Community Defense Group, National Nutrition Council Caraga and the barangay local government unit of Bonbon, Butuan City.


National Nutrition Council Caraga and the Nutrition Cluster coordinator during emergencies joined the caravan and provided information on how to be resilient through the 10 kumainments tips.

Likewise, different information and education materials were distributed to the attendees.

In his message, Dr. Nino Archie Labordo, the Officer-in-Charge of NNC Caraga, appreciated and welcomed the partnership with OCD Caraga.

The involvement of NNC is relevant in building resilience, as nutrition and resilience are strongly interlinked. A well-nourished individual can overcome challenges and can withstand stresses, Dr. Labordo added. #NASLabordo
