Prosperidad, ADS – All thirteen (13) municipalities and one (1) city of the Province of Agusan del Sur joined in support of the Provincial Nutrition Month Culmination and Awarding Ceremony on 21 July 2022 at Datu Lipus Makapandong Cultural Center, D.O Plaza Government Center, Prosperidad, Agusan del Sur.

Provincial Nutrition Action Officer Laniebelle T. Angchangco shared that aside from capacitating the Barangay Nutrition Scholars in the Summit, Local Government Units (LGUs) shall be recognized for their support in nutrition program implementation.

Among the municipalities of the Province of Agusan del Sur, the local government of Rosario emerges as the municipality with the most awards from the two province-wide evaluation namely, Evaluation on Food Production and Sanitation (EFPSAN) and Monitoring and Evaluation on Local Level Implementation Protocol (MELLPI Pro).

The following are the awards given to the Municipality of Rosario:

2021 Provincial Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar – Ladypril V. Basibas of Wasi-an, Rosario, Agusan del Sur.

2021 Provincial Outstanding Barangay in the implementation of Nutrition Program – Brgy. Wasi-an, Rosario, Agusan del Sur.

2021 Outstanding Municipality in the implementation of Nutrition Program

2021 Outstanding Nutrition Action Officer in the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan in the Implementation of Nutrition Program (Municipal Level) – Fe. V. Sulfelix

4th Winner of the Evaluation of Food Production and Sanitation of the Household with Malnourished Children – Maribeth Sanchez of Brgy. Bayugan 3, Rosario, Agusan del Sur.

The awards were received by the Municipal Vice Mayor Eddie De Paz, Municipal Nutrition Action Officer Fe V. Sulfelix and the barangay nutrition scholars of Municipality of Rosario.

The Municipality of Rosario is also recommended for the Green Banner Award and for evaluation at the regional level.

According to the evaluators, the dedication of the nutrition workers and support of the Municipal Government to nutrition and nutrition programs had a great impact on its overall local level program implementation.#DMOMPRayco
