Breast pain (mastalgia) can be described as tenderness, throbbing, sharp, cutting, burning torment or tightness within the breast tissue. The pain may be consistent or it may happen only sometimes, and it can also happen in men, ladies and transgender people. It could be an exceptionally common condition, particularly among ladies ages 30-50 years old. It generally affects 70% of women at some point in their life. Mastalgia can be divided into two partitioned categories: cyclic and noncyclic. The causes shift, depending on its kind. Cyclic Mastalgia is breast pain that is related to the menstrual cycle. The tightness is frequently described as a dull and overwhelming throb that occur in any spots of the breast. It affects both breasts and the armpit areas. Cyclic Mastalgia will happen regularly and it can be noticed easily before the start of the menstruation. The pain will get mild on the first day of your monthly period and it will disappear after few days. Noncyclic Mastalgia is breast pain that doesn't shift with the menstrual cycle or with hormonal changes. Women on their postmenopausal stage will experience Noncyclic Mastalgia. The pain in this type is sharp or burning and it can only be felt in a specific area of the breast which is known as "trigger zone".

Since cyclic breast pain could be a normal part of your menstrual cycle, you can’t avoid it. But there are certain ways that can help you to minimize the pain which include reduction of caffeine intake, practice a low fat diet, and wearing of a comfortable sports bra that fits really well particularly when you’re doing different physical activities.

In the event that your breast pain will continue after three weeks, contact your medical experts immediately. They can offer you appropriate actions to know the cause of your breast pain and can plan treatment arrangement to fit your needs.
