As the City of Isabela concludes its 48th Nutrition Month last 1 August 2022, the National Nutrition Council IX joins the activity to also conduct the Nutrition School on-the-Air (NSOA) Graduation in collaboration with the said LGU at Basilan State College Amphitheater. The activity was highlighted with the presentation of certificate of completion to 156 NSOA graduates out of 220 enrollees and the awarding of the Top 12 graduants who excels in the quizzes given every after session. Also, NNC9 presented a plaque of Appreciation to City Mayor Hon. Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman for her invaluable support and assistance in the conduct of the Nutrition School on-the-Air (NSOA) program and 48th Nutrition Month Celebration.
The activity was joined by the City Vice Mayor of Isabela Hon. Jhul Kifli L. Salliman and City Health and Nutrition Action Officer of Isabela City Dr. Mohrein H. Ismael III. The activity was facilitated by City Population and Nutrition Action Officer Ms. Jesielyn O. Puno and Nutritionist Dietitian Ms. Nujaima Sahi Abduhraman and was also attended by NNC9 NO III Mr. Elton Pelegrino together with DMO II Karla Calapardo. Also present during the activity were the City Nutrition Committee members, selected Barangay Nutrition Committees and Barangay Nutrition Scholars, and other nutrition partners.
Indeed, the activity was a success and made worthwhile with the commitment message of the City Mayor Hon. Hataman by saying that by doing activities like this, it can help ensure community to achieve a nutritional goal and wellbeing and by involving the people it will make a big difference in achieving a healthy and wholesome community.
