Organic FoodWe won’t hesitate to eat on fresh foods directly if we knew the source and the way that food or produce was grown.  For me, food grown organically is just nature at its best. Organic food is at most the healthiest food and the best for our body and overall health.

The terms "organic food," "ecological food," and "biologic food" refer to foods and beverages made using practices that adhere to the norms of organic farming. Although standards differ from country to country, organic farming includes techniques that recycle resources, advance ecological balance, and protect biodiversity. Certain pesticides and fertilizers may not be used in farming practices that result in organic products, according to organizations that control those products. Irradiation, chemical solvents, or artificial food additives are normally not used in the processing of organic goods.

A food item needs to be devoid of artificial food additives in order to carry the organic label. Artificial sweeteners, preservatives, coloring, flavoring, and monosodium glutamate fall within this category (MSG). According to the Oxford dictionary, organic farming is producing or involving production without using chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or other artificial agents. Environmental and health issues are minimized and avoided.

Most consumers nowadays prefer food that is “organic”. We are cautious and conscious about the food that we purchase and consume. We have peace of mind if we knew that we are consuming food that is free from chemicals and synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers sprayed or put into it.

Organic foods have:

  • higher antioxidant, vitamin and mineral content
  • a significant impact on the environment, your mental and emotional health
  • lesser allergens
  • lower nitrate level.

On whether organic foods have more antioxidants and nutrients than conventionally farmed food, the evidence is conflicting.

Your exposure to synthetic chemicals, extra hormones, and germs resistant to antibiotics may be reduced if you eat organic food.

You should base your decision to purchase organic products on your particular tastes.

Be a healthier you. Choose organic food.
