BroccoliNewborn children are exclusively breastfed for the first six months of their lives. Complementary foods are offered to suit their nutritional demands after six months. The process of gently weaning a baby off of supplementary feeding is known as weaning.

Weaning often begins with gradually adding pureed natural foods and vegetables (without salt or sugar) into a child's diet. In contrast, it is wise to wait three to five days after weaning before introducing a new solid meal. Broccoli is one of the many veggies you'll choose for baby weaning. Once your child is 8 months old, you may introduce broccoli to his diet.

Broccoli is a dietary powerhouse. It contains a number of vitamins and minerals that babies require, counting vitamins A, C, K, B6, and folate. It also contains all other necessary minerals, such as iron and zinc, the latter of which is essential for a baby's healthy growth. Here are some more advantages of eating broccoli for health:

Improves vision: Beta-carotene, which is found in broccoli, is thought to be a form of vitamin A. This vitamin is essential for maintaining eye health and improving eyesight. Other nutrients present in broccoli, such as zeaxanthin, phosphorous, Vitamin B complex, and E, are excellent for eye health because they repair radiation damage.

Builds resistance: A child with a healthy immune system will be more resilient to illnesses, which will improve their overall health. Broccoli is an excellent source of vitamin C, which promotes immunity and protects the youngster from sickness.

Supports healthy brain development: Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), a kind of omega-3 fatty acid, is abundant in broccoli. For the growth and development of the developing brain in infants, ALA is essential. In children who show signs of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, omega-3 fatty acids are significant, increase focus, and reduce hyperactivity, carelessness, anxiety, and hostility.

Unfortunately, due to its bland flavor, not all kids love broccoli. However, you may introduce broccoli to your infant during the weaning process and add it to different vegetable combinations to provide variety.
