MDG PIRConsidering all the activities on MDGF-2030 projects were already accomplished and will be formally closed its operation by 18 April 2013, the Program Management Unit conducted a Post-Program Implementation Review (PIR) in Region IX to document program success including the efficacy of the processes involve and lessons learned at the region, held at Lantaka Hotel, Zamboanga City on 22-23 March 2013.

It was attended by partners/implementers of the JP areas Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur and Zamboanga City, and the National and Regional Technical Working Group (N/RTWG) members.

In the PIR, there were three major topics presented and worked on by the participants: Session 1. JP area experiences and status of activities to ascertain and appreciate the degree of success from the programme, in particular, the extent to which it met its objectives, delivered planned levels of benefits, and addressed the specific requirements as originally defined for each JP area. Also, to lay down the status of the activities defined in the JP area work plan, session 2. Assessment of programme implementation processes to examine the efficacy of all elements of processes involved to see if further improvements can be made to optimize the benefit delivered, and session 3. Mainstreaming lessons learned to learn lessons from the programme through the experience of the JP areas, lessons which can be used by the local partners, team members and by the organization to improve future program work and solutions.

Day two was focused on the presentation of outputs per JP area. After each presentation, the N/RTWG members raised comments and suggestions to further comprehend and improve their outputs. And based on the interaction with the participants, the TWG members were happy even though project objectives were not able to meet 100 percent but where able to accomplish activities successfully.

At the end of the sessions, the JP implementers expressed their heartfelt appreciation and thankfulness for the opportunity had given to them and requested to continue supporting them in their endeavor in achieving goals (reduce malnutrition among 0-71 months old children, reduce maternal mortality rate among others).

The activity ended successfully and fruitfully, all the necessary data and information were able to accomplish.
