Lemon WaterLemon water is common as many restaurants serve it routinely, and some people start their day with lemon water instead of coffee or tea. Like other citrus fruits — including oranges, grapefruit, and limes — lemons are rich in flavonoids. These are compounds that help boost health and fight disease. Many sources claim that lemon water has powerful health and weight loss benefits, but what does the research say about it?

Lemons are a rich source of vitamin C, a powerful antioxidant. A squeeze of lemon provides around 21% of a person’s daily value (DV). The amount of lemon juice in lemon water depends on the person’s preference. People may drink it cold or hot. Some people also choose to add lemon rind, mint leaf, honey, turmeric, or other ingredients. Lemon water has become a popular morning beverage, with people using it as a refreshing pick-me-up due to claims that it can boost energy levels and metabolism.

Implications of Back PainIt is both very irritating and inconvenient to experience back pain, but it is a symptom rather than a disease. People who experience this would sometimes miss work to seek medical treatment and do further tests. People of all ages are not an excuse for back pain and it can strike for a variety of causes. As people age, the risk of experiencing lower back discomfort also increases according to Arnold YL Won. This can be caused by a variety of reasons, including degenerative disk disease and past employment. Accidents, physical exertion, or certain medical disorders may be the common cause of back pain.

Lumbago, commonly known as lower back discomfort, can be a sign of a number of various medical conditions. It can be a problem with one or more elements of the lower back, such as ligaments and muscles, discs, intervertebral discs, nerves, and the bone structures that make up the spine, known as vertebral bodies or vertebrae, frequently causes it.  Problems on the adjacent organs, such as the kidneys may also cause back pain. In 90% of cases, pain can be alleviated without surgery. If you're suffering from back pain, see a doctor. The American Association of Neurological Surgeons went on to say that at least, 75 to 85 percent of people in the United States will suffer from back pain at some point in their lives.  Half of those will have more than one episode within a year.

Kidney StoneKidney stones (also known as renal calculi, nephrolithiasis, or urolithiasis) are mineral and salt deposits that form within the kidneys. Kidney stones can be caused by a number of causes, including nutrition, obesity, certain medical conditions, and certain supplements and medicines. Kidney stones can cause problems in any part of the urinary tract, including the kidneys and bladder. Stones frequently develop when urine gets concentrated, allowing minerals to solidify and adhere together.

A kidney stone normally does not produce symptoms until it travels about within your kidney or enters your ureters, the tubes that link your kidneys and bladder. If it becomes caught in the ureters, it can obstruct the flow of urine, causing the kidney to enlarge and the ureter to spasm, both of which can be excruciatingly painful.

Milk KinshipHave you experienced breastfeeding a child who is not your own? How frequently do you breastfeed him/her or them? Islam recognizes the importance of breastfeeding to the growth and development of a child, and the special bond that develops between a nursing woman and a baby.

A child who is breastfed by three to five times or more than that by the same woman is considered “Milk Kinship”. Milk kinship is an Islamic belief that human milk creates a kinship between the breastfeeding woman and her non-biological nursing infant as well as the woman's biological nursing infants prohibiting future marriages between "milk brothers and sisters". Her children cannot marry this baby when they are all grown up because they are considered milk siblings. Stem cells in the breast milk become part of the baby or make both parties as good as family.

In some cultures, it has been customary for infants to be nursed by a foster-mother sometimes called a "nurse-maid" or "milk mother". In ancient Arabia, it was common for city families to send their infants to a foster mother in the desert, where it was considered a healthier living environment. The Prophet Muhammad himself was cared for in infancy by both his mother and a foster-mother named Halima.

HirsutismHave you ever wondered why some women have grown unusual body hairs as most as other individuals of their gender don’t? All of us have body hair but it is more noticeable among men than women. This hair might sometimes be thicker and more visible among women due to certain conditions. Hirsutism is a condition in women in which hair growth becomes excessive. It usually grows in places where it usually does just for men. The hair appears often dark and coarse instead of fine, pale, faintly visible hair that covers most of the body. Hirsutism can occur due to several underlying medical conditions. Hirsutism is commonly linked to high levels of male hormones called androgens. About half of all people with hirsutism have an excess of androgens. These hormones usually trigger male physical and sexual development. Women normally have low androgen levels. However, an increase in the level of these hormones can cause hirsutism, acne, a deep voice, and small breasts.

Nutrition and Carbon FootprintsGlobal warming is a concern all over the globe. It is the result of excessive gas emissions damaging the ozone layer causing an increase in the average temperature of the earth’s atmosphere. The rising of temperature causes hotter weather, more frequent droughts, heavier rainfalls, and stronger hurricanes. To prevent further damage to our ozone layer, controlling the carbon emissions is vital of which among the solutions are to plant more trees to produce oxygen and balance the carbon dioxide, use renewable energy like solar panels in providing energy and not from burning fuels, conserve water resources, and practical use of electricity.

On the other hand, the world today is being driven by manufacturing companies in the aspects of basic commodities such as our food and beverages. From farm (raw materials) to final products (frozen, processed, and/or canned goods), processing alone also produces carbon dioxide emissions. In recent years, China has been noted for being the topmost carbon dioxide-producing country with emissions accounting for about 28% (Union of Concerned Scientists, 2018). This is mainly because China is the main manufacturing capital of the world. Other sources of gas emissions are fossil fuels for transportation and electricity which are also used in the manufacturing of food.
