NNC X’s initiative to reactivate media partnership in the region gets the support of the quad media during the reactivation meeting of the Media Advocates for Nutrition inGOvernance of Region X or MANGO DIEZ held May 30, 2014 at Philtown Hotel. Media partners present during the meeting, including CDO Bloggers Inc., concurred to the MANGO Diez Terms of Reference and pledged commitment and support to be part of the media consortium.

Dr. Adriano Subaan, Assistant Regional Director of DOH – RO X graced the event and gave an empowering message - “We, the duty bearers, need MANGO DIEZ. We need you to help us inform our local residents so as to move them to participate in our nutrition activities in a way that will lead them to enjoy the right to good nutrition. After all this right is for all Filipinos and not only for a few.”

NPC Marissa DM. Navales, on the other hand, called on the quad media to help NNC put malnutrition in the public debate.

Director Thelma B. Oliver of PIA X stressed the need to maximize the potential of social media: reason why the new term “quad media” emerged.

Brigada Allan P. Jamin of 95.7 Mellow Touch Radio in his insight said “Kailangang mag-ingay ang media” to help solve hunger and malnutrition. srdc
