“Let us work together to improve the nutrition situation of Cagayan de Oro City”.  This was disclosed by Cagayan de Oro City Mayor Oscar S. Moreno during the courtesy call of NPC Marissa Navales held April 25, 2014 at the City Mayor’s Office.

Mayor Moreno was alarmed when NPC Navales presented to him the 2011-2013 OPT results of Cagayan de Oro that showed increasing prevalence of malnutrition over the years.  He said that the City needs to strategize on how the nutrition gaps can be addressed.  Both the Mayor and NPC Navales agreed to immediately schedule a strategizing meeting to be attended personally by the Mayor together with the City Health Office, the City Nutrition Office and NNC X.
