In order to to maintain the provision of quality  nutrition services to all Misamisnons, Provincial Board Member Octavio O. Parojinog authored Ordinance No. 44-16, “An Ordinance Creating a Nutrition Division Under the Office of the Provincial Governor in the Province of Misamis Occidental, Appropriating Funds Thereof”.

This was disclosed during the first quarter meeting of the Misamis Occidental Provincial Nutrition Commiittee (PNC) held February 2, 2017 chaired by Board Member Parojinog himself as PNC Co-Chairperson.

Board Member Parojinog sets eyes on sustaining nutrition  improvement in the province and admits that his action was inspired by the creation of a nutrition division in Ozamiz City.  Prior to his election as Provincial Board Member, Parojinog served as Councilor of Ozamiz City – a Nutrition Honor Awardee.

Governor Herminia M. Ramiro, on the other hand, committed to support the proposal to place the Nutrition Division under the Office of the Governor. The Governor also bared her plan of expanding the Mobile C Gov Supplementary Feeding Program to more barangays.

The Committee on Human Resource and Government Reorganization of Misamis Occidental adopted the said ordinance during the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Regular Session held November 14, 2016. pcgd
