A long queue of waiting has finally ended as Region X welcomes Ms. Gladys Mae S. Fernandez as the new Officer in Charge- Nutrition Program Coordinator (OIC-NPC) of the National Nutrition Council Region X.
Following the retirement of former NPC Marissa DM Navales effective 1 August 2017, Ms. Fernandez as Nutrition Officer III of NNC Region 12 designated as OIC-NPC, equally merit the headship consigned by Assistant Secretary of Health Maria-Bernardita T. Flores through the Office Order No. 043 s. 2017 effective 9 August 2017 to continue NNC Region X’s operations.
14th of August, Ms. Chona M. Fernandez, Chief of Administrative Division of NNC-Central Office led the turn-over and formally introduced Ms. Gladys Mae S. Fernandez to NNC X staff. NO II Princess Christine D. Tababa led the presentation bequeathing brief orientation of the staff’s assignments and status of the activities of NNC X. Moreover, a courtesy call was also conducted to DOH Region X Assistant Regional Director Adriano P. Suba-an and DOH RO-X State Auditor IV-Audit Team Leader Ms. Frances Carmel N. Harun. “We welcome you with a big heart”, ARD Suba-an said with optimism to continue productive partnership in eradicating malnutrition in the Region.
Working together as a team, NNC X staff enthusiastically welcomes new OIC-NPC Fernandez, gripping the same spirit that induce NorMin upon achieving accomplishments in the continuing war against malnutrition.
