Nutrition Program Coordinator Gladys Mae S. Fernandez and Nutrition Officer I Vazamija Therese A. Villasi facilitated the monitoring last 15 March 2021.

Present during the monitoring were Program Director Raul D. Dinapo, Marketing Staff Ryan B. Requino and July Gapol.

On top of the existing equipment, the station is currently using new equipment procured by the Provincial Government of Lanao del Norte: three (3) new headphones, one (1) Arrakis console and one (1) set of livestreaming tools. Generator-set was also purchased to supply the station’s electricity in case of power interruptions.

Aside from the regular programs aired over the station (One Nutrition, One Nation, Katumbas ay Biyaya, Nutrition School-on-the Air, nutrition and health plugs, among others), Radyo Kalambuan aired learning modules from the Department of Education Region 10. The station and DepEd Region 10 engaged in a Memorandum of Agreement for this endeavor to widen the reach of the learning modules, which benefitted grade school and high school students. Radyo Kalambuan aired the said modules from October 2020 to March 2021.

At present, the station is being manned by six personnel signing in from 4:00 AM and signing off at 10:00 PM.

According to Program Director Dinapo, the station received feedbacks from restaurant owners and market vendors. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, awareness on nutrition increased. Establishments became partners in promoting nutrition as vegetable dishes are added in their menu, acknowledging the benefits of glow foods in boosting the immune system.

NPC Fernandez was also invited by the station for an interview on NNC X updates and activities done by the regional office.

NNC X will continue to closely monitor progress with Radyo Kalambuan management for continuous development and improvement of the station. (NO I Vazamija Therese A. Villasi, RND)
