2nd draft TK DSP wet feeding3 April 2021, Cagayan de Oro City — The National Nutrition Council Region 10 (NNC X) through Provincial Nutrition Coordinator (PNC) Stephanie C. Barrio met with the representatives of the Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office (DARPO) Bukidnon and partner Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organization (ARBO) representatives. This is in preparation for the upcoming implementation of the wet feeding scheme of the Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program (TK DSP) for pregnant women in the eight (8) recipient Local Government Units (LGUs) of Bukidnon. 

The meeting was held last 29 March 2021 at the DARPO Conference Room, Airport Village, Casisang, Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. Among the attendees were Provincial Agrarian Reform Officer (PARO) I Bernardita M. Lozaga, Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer (CARPO) Phoebe I. Noval, Agrarian Reform Program Officers (ARPOs) of the recipient LGUs, and representatives from the seven (7) partner ARBOs.

Meeting highlights included a brief discussion on the overview of TK DSP, submission of required documents from ARBOs, and presentation of the draft Marketing Agreement (MA) between NNC X and ARBOs and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between NNC X and DARPO Bukidnon. Proposed revisions on the cycle menu and queries and concerns on the MA were also tackled during the meeting. 

The meeting is part of the preparations for the upcoming ceremonial signing on 8 April. Partner ARBOs are expected to comply with the requested documents before signing the MA.

The ARBOs will supply the fresh commodities for the wet feeding of TK DSP such as fruits, vegetables, meat, and poultry. This partnership is also a support to the Enhanced Partnership against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program, where the resources from ARBOs will be utilized for the DSP.

The wet feeding for pregnant women beneficiaries, which is the third and last leg of the DSP cycle, will commence on 7 May 2021. This scheme will provide hot meals to the beneficiaries for the last 30 days of TK DSP. (PNC Stephanie C. Barrio)
