17 May 2021, Cagayan de Oro City – After the application and hiring process conducted last 16-26 April 2021, the National Nutrition Council Regional Office X hired one (1) additional technical staff.

A new Nutrition Officer I in the person of Ms. Liezel Joy D. Reyes, RND was hired effective 17 May 2021. NO I Reyes will be the support staff for concerns surrounding nutrition policy and planning. She will act as the focal person for the Regional Nutrition Cluster, Nutrition in Emergencies concerns, and BNS Program. NO I Reyes will also be the new in-charge for the Regional Bantay Asin Task Force and related concerns. To add, she is also tasked to assist in the Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program concerns both for Bukidnon and Lanao del Norte Provinces, to provide technical support for monitoring and evaluation activities, and to act as monitor for the Province of Bukidnon and cities within.

During the orientation held by Nutrition Program Coordinator Gladys Mae S. Fernandez on 17 May at the NNC X Office, NO I Reyes was briefed on NNC X’s operations and staff assignments, as she had prior knowledge about the agency’s mandates and programs being a former staff of NNC.

With the addition of new manpower, the total number of NNC X workforce now totals to 10, including the NPC, five (5) technical staff, three (3) support staff and utility.
