26 November 2021, Cagayan de Oro City – The year 2021 marked the period where regular monitoring and evaluation activities resumed after a year of suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, outstanding local government units (LGUs) who were able to comply with national standards were recognized during the 2021 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony (RNAC) last 18 November 2021 held through hybrid setting.
Below are the awardee LGUs who conquered the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan of Implementation (MELLPI) with soaring performance rates for CY 2019.
Green Banner Seal of Compliance
This award replaces the Green Banner where only the LGU with the highest score in each administrative level can qualify. In the Green Banner Seal of Compliance, all LGUs with a minimum rating of 85%, with no rating less than 60% of any of the dimensions, shall receive the seal.
The seal, in the form of a wooden plaque, was awarded to the following LGUs:
- Municipality of Maramag, Bukidnon
- Municipality of Sumilao, Bukidnon
- Municipality of Cabanglasan, Bukidnon
- Municipality of Impasug-ong, Bukidnon
Nutrition Honor Award-Award of Merit
LGUs who received the highest awards for nutrition in the previous years and were able to sustain their gains through compliance to GBSC standards were granted with the NHA-Award of Merit:
- Valencia City
- Don Carlos, Bukidnon
- Kadingilan, Bukidnon
- Quezon, Bukidnon
Special Citations (LGU Contenders to National Awards)
The award for Special Citations is given to the three LGUs who contend for the national-level recognitions on nutrition. These LGUs defied the odds and conquered the pressure of vying for the national awards after a one-year break because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon (NHA Contender)
- Misamis Occidental Province (2nd Year Consistent Regional Outstanding Winner in Nutrition (CROWN) Maintenance Award Contender)
- Cagayan de Oro City (1st Year CROWN Maintenance Award Contender)
Finalists to the GBSC were also recognized during the RNAC: Iligan City, Camiguin Province, and Misamis Oriental.
