2021 RNAC Awardees: Regional Outstanding Local Nutrition Focal Points

Article 2021 RNAC Awardees MELLPI OLNFP26 November 2021, Cagayan de Oro City – Another set of awards given during the 2021 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony (RNAC) last 18 November 2021 was the recognition for Outstanding Local Nutrition Focal Points.

The year 2021 proved to be another milestone as it is the first time where focal points aside from the Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs) were evaluated. This included the Provincial/City/Municipal Nutrition Action Officers (P/C/MNAOs) and the District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators (D/CNPCs).

Regional Outstanding Local Nutrition Focal Points

Awards were given to the following focal points who achieved the cut-off performance rating and ranked first among their fellow contenders in their respective award categories:

  • PNAO Marichu G. Tijing of Misamis Occidental – PNAO of the Year Region X
  • CNAO Nenita F. Rabe of Cagayan de Oro City – Local NAO of the Year Region X
  • CNPC Sherill Faith P. Española of Cagayan de Oro City – Local NPC of the Year Region X
  • BNS Jaime M. Iman, Jr. of Cagayan de Oro City – 2019 Regional Outstanding BNS

ROLNFP Finalists

The following nutrition focal points were also recognized as finalists to the regional awards:

  • PNAO Christy Grace A. Taclindo of Camiguin Province
  • CNAO Hazel P. Dondonayos of Valencia City
  • DNPC Cherry Ann D. Arabes of Misamis Occidental Province
  • CNPC Beverly G. Mangubat of Valencia City

The Provincial and City OBNSs were likewise awarded as finalists to the ROBNS:

  • BNS Jemma M. Daguplo of Brgy. Capitan Bayong, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon
  • BNS Irish T. Mamaclay of Brgy. Kahaponan, Valencia City
  • BNS Jeycel T. Lumalang of Brgy. 10, Malaybalay City
  • BNS Aniceta T. Camporedondo of Brgy. Hinigdaan, El Salvador City
  • BNS Elsa D. Cubero of Brgy. Aquino, Tangub City

PNAO Tijing, CNAO Rabe, and CNPC Española were granted with Certificate for Special Citations for having been qualified as contenders to the national-level search for OLNFPs. They go head-to-head with OLNFPs from other regions in the country, and they have the chance to be awarded during the National Nutrition Awarding Ceremony in December 2021.
