1 December 2021, Cagayan de Oro City – This year is the second year of holding the Regional Nutri-Webby Awards by the National Nutrition Council (NNC) X. The objective of which is to recognize Social Media Pages managed by local nutrition committees or offices that have highly visible and exemplar initiatives in promoting good nutrition for positive behavior change through posting of relevant contents in the social media.

A total of 18 Facebook Pages were registered for the contest. Analytics were monitored since February until October 2021. Winners and finalists were announced during the 2021 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony (RNAC) last 18 November 2021.

Overall results:

The top three LGUs received Plaque of Recognition and cash award worth ₱10,000.00, ₱7,000.00, and ₱5,000.00 for the first, second and third placers, respectively.

NNC X likewise awarded the performing Facebook Page per contest indicator:

“Highest Number of Page Likes” showcases the Facebook Page with highest number of cumulative Page likes.

“Highest Number of Relevant Posts Published” accounts timely and relevant contents published on nutrition and related topics.

“Highest Number of Unique Contents” tallies the original contents drafted and published by the Page administrators.

“Highest Number of Post Engagements” records the total number of likes, comments and shares made in the Facebook Page’s posts.

“Highest Number of NNC X Posts Shared” recognizes the Pages who move in unison with the One Region in Nutrition social movement by sharing contents published by NNC X.

“Highest Number of Articles Submitted” recognizes the Pages who tirelessly create news and feature articles to promote local initiatives and nutrition updates.

As more people can be reached through the social media, the NNC X hopes that the LGU Facebook Pages can be drivers to disseminate correct and updated nutrition information. (NO III Sheena Marie G. Talle)
