TK DSP infographics17 December 2021, Cagayan de Oro City – As part of the Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program (TK DSP) implementation, Provincial Nutrition Focal Point (PNFP) Gwyn Y. Balaba visited the TK DSP areas to follow-up, provide technical assistance on the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) First 1000 days (F1K) fourth (4th) quarter accomplishment reports, and continuation of storage inspection.

PNFP Balaba allocated two (2) days for the collection of ECCD F1K Q4 accomplishment reports and the resumption of storage inspection. The monitoring proceeded well and smoothly, thanks to the presence and cooperation of Nutrition Action Officers (NAO) and nutrition staff.

Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (MNAO) Geneses Espina of Kibawe's Local Government Unit (LGU) ensures that enough space is available that is well-ventilated, and readily monitored for the impending arrival of food commodities for wasted and stunted children ages 6-23 months. LGU Kadingilan, led by MNAO Jesus Dumangon, and LGU Quezon's Nutrition Officer (NO) I Elizabeth Coquilla, continue to secure for a well-lit and suitable place for storing boxes of food items that is also free of probable infestation. MNAO Espina, Dumangon, and NO I Coquilla are still consolidating data for their ECCD F1K accomplishment report and committed to submit the relevant paperwork once compiled and finalized.

PNFP Balaba also paid a visit to cities of Valencia and Malaybalay, Bukidnon. Valencia City Nutrition Action Office (CNAO) Hazel Dondonayos and Malaybalay CNAO Eza Canonigo submitted their reports.

LGUs Libona, Manolo Fortich, and Sumilao will be visited by NNC X on a separate occasion for the same purpose.

National Nutrition Council Region X is truly grateful for the continued commitment and support of the recipient LGUs despite the pandemic and the handful of workload as the year ends.

The TK DSP Phase II, which would cover the same eight (8) recipient LGUs in Phase I in the Province of Bukidnon, is set to begin in 2022. (PNFP Gwyn Y. Balaba).
