25 June 2022, Cagayan de Oro City – Nutrition Officer I Vazamija Therese A. Villasi of National Nutrition Council Region X conducted the 2nd Quarter Nutriskwela Community Radio Station monitoring to Radyo Kalambuan DXNE 94.3 MHz at Media Center, Mindanao Civic Center, Tubod, Lanao del Norte last 22 June 2022.
Present during the monitoring were Mr. Ryan Requino, Ms. Creselyn B. Velasco and Mr. Julie Capol.
Since December 2021, Radyo Kalambuan was off-air due to Typhoon Odette damaging the station’s antenna. Per Mr. Requino, the antenna tower will be transferred to Brgy. Turong-turong, Tubod, Lanao del Norte since the location of the tower in Brgy. Guingona, Ozamiz City has electricity shortage. Further, there is no date yet as to the resumption of the station’s operations. Currently, they use online platform such as Facebook Live to continue their operations.
The station has a new station manager, Ms. Elena Pelare who will assume office on 30 June or 1 July 2022. Re-organization of Community Radio Council will be held together with the orientation of SM Pelare on August 2022.
Radyo Kalambuan will present their plans to procure livestreaming equipment during the CRC meeting as well as the replacement and repair of the station’s equipment such as the air-conditioning unit and computer with monitor. Further, station plans to hire additional staff, one IT and radio technician on-board.
NNC X will continue to provide support and monitor the station regarding the resumption of airing of nutrition information and messages over the radio. (NO I Vazamija Therese A. Villasi, RND)
