6 September 2022, Cagayan de Oro City – The National Barangay Nutrition Scholars Federation (NaBNS Fed), Inc. – Northern Mindanao Chapter held a Special Meeting on 2 September 2022 at the National Nutrition Council X Office, Carmen, Cagayan de Oro City. The Special Meeting was convened to discuss mainly about the planned face-to-face Regional BNS Conference.
All officers were present during the meeting presided by Chapter President BNS Flordeliza S. Gonzales of Iligan City.
The agreed 7th Regional BNS Conference theme is “Barangay Nutrition Scholars: Aktibo at patuloy sa walang kupas na serbisyo!” highlighting the efforts made by all BNSs as modern heroes. The conference will focus on the roles and responsibilities of BNSs, skill enhancement and empowerment. Mutya ng BNS and Modern Dance Contest will also be included in the program.
This year’s conference is hosted by the local government unit of Iligan City on 10-11 November 2022.
The face-to-face convention was among the activity highlights for the BNSs before the pandemic struck.
