27 September 2022, Cagayan de Oro City – The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) with the National Nutrition Council (NNC) X concluded the Search for the Regional Outstanding Local Nutrition Focal Points (OLNFPs). The evaluation of focal points was done from 26 August to 23 September 2022, evaluating a total of 10 LNFPs.
The search assesses the performance of frontline nutrition staff, who served for at least one (1) year, in carrying out their core functions in line with delivering nutrition services in the locality.
The following are the categories for the Search for OLNFP: 1) Provincial Nutrition Action Officer (PNAO), 2) City/Municipal Nutrition Action Officer (C/MNAO), 3) District Nutrition Program Coordinator (DNPC), 4) City/Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator (C/MNPC), 5) Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS).
This year, the RNET evaluated the following focal points:

- Julie Ann C. Brigoli, Valencia City, Bukidnon
- BNS
- Glecy T. Singsing, Brgy. Aglayan, Malaybalay City
- Era S. Flores, Brgy. Lumbo, Valencia City
- Marina A. Mangubat, Brgy. Kiara, Don Carlos, Bukidnon
- Jinny B. Oco, Brgy. Kalabaylabay, El Salvador City
Metrics for scoring for the focal points include their score using the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro tool and interview. In addition, BNSs also take the written exam as additional metrics.
In 26 September 2022, the RNET determined the outstanding focal points for each category, for endorsement to the NNC Nutrition Surveillance Division, and for recognition during the Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony come November 2022.
