2 October 2022, Cagayan de Oro City – Nutrition Officer III Sheena Marie G. Talle, Project Development Officer I Vazamija Therese A. Villasi and On-the-Job Trainee Lhalene Flores of National Nutrition Council X conducted orientation on Nutriskwela Community Radio Station Guidelines and monitoring to Radyo Kalilang 104.9 DXNN-FM MHz last 19 September 2022 at Kalilangan, Bukidnon.
It was attended by thirteen (13) participants composed of station personnel and Community Radio Council members.
Prior to the orientation, NNC X team paid a visit to Municipal Mayor Raymon Charl O. Gamboa and provided updates on the previous monitoring result last 20 May 2022. Mayor Gamboa committed for the improvement of the station, and informed that he recently approved supplemental budget of ₱500,000.00 to support the station operations.
During the orientation, NO III Talle discussed the Overview of the Nutriskwela Community Radio Program followed by the presentation of Editorial and Station Policy by PDO I Villasi. The members of the CRC aired clarifications and concerns, particularly on maintaining their responsibilities and active engagement in the council.
Afterwards, NNC X, Mayor Gamboa, CRC members and station personnel proceeded to the monitoring. The station is currently located at 2nd Floor, Kalilangan Integrated Bus Terminal, in which the Local Government Unit plans to repair the station next year and put up studio sound proofing.
Station Manager Ryan Anthony Cawaing, the newly-designated Station Manager, facilitated the re-organization of the Community Radio Council (CRC) through EO No. 23, s.2022 last 9 August 2022 with the Mayor Gamboa as chair. Forty percent of original members were retained and sixty percent composed new members. The CRC members took their oath last 5 September 2022. The CRC conducted regular meetings for the management of the station as well as to address their issues and concerns. Moreover, SM Cawaing is recently joined by two personnel, Program Manager Rossie Elorde and technician Ronila Barrios.
NO III Talle and PDO I Villasi were interviewed on-board by SM Cawaing to talk about the Nutriskwela Community Radio Program once the monitoring activity ended.
