2 November 2022, Cagayan de Oro City – A total of eight (8) District City Nutrition Programs Coordinators Association of the Philippines (DCNPCAP), Region X Inc. officers convened during its second semester meeting last 14 October 2022 at Chali Resort and Conference Center, Cagayan de Oro City. The meeting was presided by Ms. Marites A. Gomez, Misamis Oriental District Nutrition Program Coordinator, and Chapter President.
The finalization of the 3rd Nutrition Forum and Nutrition Education cum Gift-giving and District/City Nutrition Programs Coordinators (D/CNPCs) Team Building were among the agenda tackled during the meeting.
Due to the full schedule in 2022, the association agreed to conduct the 3rd Nutrition Forum on March 2023, however, the working committees will start their preparation on December 2022. For the succeeding nutrition forums, the officers agreed to conduct a sequel forum focusing on nutrition in the life cycle which is also aligned with the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) 2023-2028 targets. In the 3rd Nutrition Forum, the association plans to highlight Adolescent Health and Nutrition.
Pursuant to the agreement from the 4th General Assembly held last 18 March 2022, the association planned to conduct Nutrition Education and Gift-giving for select pregnant women on 2 December 2022 at Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental. The activity will be facilitated by the association’s officers in partnership with the local government unit (LGU) of Tagoloan. CNPC Sherill Faith P. Española of Cagayan de Oro City and CNPC Julie Ann C. Brigoli of Valencia City will conduct a lecture on the First 1000 Days during the activity. Likewise, the association will tap non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for the gift-giving.
Another agreement during the meeting is the postponement of the D/CNPCs team building activity. The association decided to include the team building as one of the activities during the D/CNPCs 5th General Assembly to be conducted on March 2023.
Despite the movement of the 2022 activities, the DCNPCAP, Region X Inc. fully commits to conduct activities for the professional growth and development of its members.
