7 November 2022, Cagayan de Oro City – Success! The One Region in Nutrition (ORIN) one of the information and education programs of the National Nutrition Council Region X aired eight episodes via its Facebook Page from 20 September to 14 October 2022.

This year’s ORIN episodes narrated nutrition in the First 1000 Days stages from pregnancy up to older stage of infancy and toddlerhood. It also talked about the NNC’s Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program for Bukidnon and Lanao del Norte Province; and the best practices on Infant and Young Child Feeding Program for identified local government.

The radio program aired twice every week, and by using the online platform, it was able to reach Luzon and Visayas areas, too. To retain viewers from watching the episodes, “Catch the Word Game” was inserted in between each episode wherein during each episode, 5 phrases related to the topic will pop on the screen for 5 seconds. Facebook users are instructed to type the phrases and send to NNC X Page. In the duration of all eight episodes, a total of 24 winners were awarded with load cards.

Each livestream episode was able to gain an average of 300 views per session, comments, reactions and shares that adds to the visibility of NNC X’s Facebook page.

For all eight (8) sessions of the program, the five (5) On-the-Job Trainees from Central Mindanao University served as radio anchors and guest speakers, together with NNC X staff.

This is one of NNC X's methods in educating the public and fostering interaction with those who are learning about healthy eating and lifestyle choices especially in the First 1000 Days of life.
