13 February 2023, Cagayan de Oro City –National Nutrition Council (NNC) X through the leadership of Nutrition Program Coordinator Gladys Mae S. Fernandez convened the Nutrition Action Officers, District/City Nutrition Program Coordinators, and nutrition staff in a virtual meeting held 3 February 2023. A total of 66 participants attended the meeting.

Development Management Officer II Arlie Joy O. Damiles presented the Current Regional Nutrition Situation, particularly the disaggregated Expanded National Nutrition Survey results for provinces and highly urbanized cities, and Operation Timbang Plus.

On the other hand, NPC Fernandez shared the 2022 guidelines on the formulation of Local Nutrition Action Plans. In her presentation, she discussed the simplified components of the LNAP, monitoring and evaluation schemes, and improved implementation plan template.

The meeting proceeded with the discussion on the updates regarding Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro facilitated by Nutrition Officer Sheena Marie G. Talle. During the presentation, the Provincial and City Nutrition Offices also gave their preferred schedules for the monitoring and evaluation activities.

DMO II Damiles shared the latest list of deliverables and submissions to the body. The updated list of reports for submission are largely based on the 2022 LNAP Formulation Guidelines.

Another agenda item presented was on the Travelling Allowance of Barangay Nutrition Scholars, which served as a reminder for the local government units to send their request for CY 2023.

Lastly, the focal points were informed on the line up of CY 2023 activities, to be calendared and for further coordination and communication.
