NNC Davao Region organized the nutrition media group called NEA AGUILA ONSE which stands for News, Events and Activities, while Aguila symbolizes the famous Davao Eagle as one of the icons in Davao City that characterizes “king of the skies” which can be attributed to power, courage and strength. The NEA AGUILA ONSE media group aims to strengthen and sustain the campaign on good nutrition and healthy lifestyle in the region through multimedia including radio, print, TV and social media to increase public’s awareness on the importance of good nutrition that will facilitate change of behavior towards good nutrition practices.

A new set of Officers were elected and inducted last March 10, 2016 at the Grand Men Seng Hotel, Davao City with NNC-Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator (RNPC) Dr. Maria Teresa L. Ungson as the inducting officer. The set of the NEA AGUILA ONSE Officers are composed mainly of representatives from the multimedia sector that will serve for a period of one (1) year from CY 2016 to CY 2017. Ms. Ruth Dumandan of GMA Super Radyo was elected as the President of the NEA AGUILA ONSE.

Through the NEA Aguila Onse officers and identified nutrition stakeholders in coordination with NNC Davao Region, extensive nutrition information dissemination can be achieved that are culturally sensitive and adaptable to the local situation.
