Last September 28, 2020 – The Nutriskwela Radio Station of NNC in partnership of the Municipality of Laak, Davao de Oro - DXNB 101.3 Radyo Kahimunan celebrated its 3rd Anniversary by doing a Clean Up Drive in Laak Public Market with the theme: “Hustong Pagkaon Ehersisyo ban sa Pagbakana, Pagpanglimpyo, ug Batukan ang Pandemyang COVID-19 Luwas ang mga Laakenyo”. This initiative to contribute to the campaign of the LGU to fight pollution and combat the COVID-19 Pandemic was participated by their very active Community Radio Council, representatives from the AFP, PNP, MENRO, LGU, MRRD Youth Movement, and Good Neighbors International – Philippines, is an international, nonprofit humanitarian organization that plans, implements, and raises funds for the provision of services in advocacy, child sponsorship, disaster management, education, health, partnerships, network building, income generation, and water sanitation.

“This is just a start, community engagement as part of Radyo Kahimunan’s campaign of reaching the people on the far-flung areas of Laak, we will conduct activities with our LGU and with our non-government partner, Good Neighbors International Philippines in a form of Bayanihan, and assist vulnerable people in the GIDA. GNIP will also be allotted with a twice a week radio program for them also to promote their campaign in response to COVID-19 health crisis” – Floriano Borlio, Program Manager, Radyo Kahimunan.

101.3 Radyo Kahimunan is one of Nutriskwela Phase 5 established stations in 2017. It operates with 300 watts powered transmitter reaching 36 barangays with an overall total population of 29, 469. The station also contributes to the decrease of Stunting and Underweight in the data from 2015 to 2017.
