Bongabong Agrarian Reform Cooperative (BARC) of Bongabong, Pantukan Davao de Oro, a DAR-assisted cooperative was awarded the 2020 Gawad Parangal Award by the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA) Region XI and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), last 27 October.

This award is given to selected cooperatives in Davao Region who had exemplified selfless dedication and hard work in extending help to the community during these trying times of national health emergency due to COVID-19 pandemic.

The Bongabong Agrarian Reform Cooperative distributed Php300 worth of food packs, grocery items to 1,297 households and Php15,000 cash assistance to their Agrarian Reform Beneficiary (ARB) members during the onslaught of the COVID Pandemic where members were not able to attend to their daily livelihoods.

The virtual awarding ceremony via zoom was headed by CDA Regional Director Elma R. Oguis while BARC Chairperson Antonio “Nonoy” G. Suico received the Gawad Parangal award in behalf of its management and members.

DAR Davao de Oro extends its warmest congratulations to BARC! Padayon!
