28 January 2022, Davao City- The National Nutrition Council (NNC) Davao Region conducted its First Web Team Meeting for 2022 via Google Meet. It was attended by all the regional staff and presided by OIC NO III Alona E. Teo.

The meeting’s agenda focused on the upcoming web activities and events for 2022. The budgetary breakdown for each activity was also discussed with the aid of NO II Charlane Jickain. Hence, the meeting aimed to continuously enhance the capacity of the regional web team members on new government standards, new tools, and technologies.

During the meeting, the staff participated in tailoring the regional work plan while adding necessary inputs. The presentation of the work plan detailing the specific designations and tasks among the staff was done to promote a smooth operation for webpage and social media management. Furthermore, it highlighted the importance of nutrition events and contents that are accurate, relevant, and timely.
With the current situation brought by the COVID-19, people are more engaged in the digital world. Thus, social media platform is an ideal setting to promote and influence people towards lifelong healthy eating habits and lifestyles. Hence, web meetings serve as an important strategy in ensuring that these digital platforms are maximized in promoting good nutrition, creating awareness and ultimately an effective tool in improving eating habits and nutrition behaviors.
