SOCCSKSARGEN - South Cotabato province conducted an MNAOs meeting last April 16, 2021, Friday, held in Municipality of T’boli, South Cotabato.
The Municipal Nutrition Action Officers (MNAOs) meeting held in the Women's Center of T’boli was facilitated by South Cotabato Nutrition Officers Angela Frugalidad and Liza Enamno and Chief Administrative Officer III Earl Rey Madres. This was attended by MNAOs, nutrition coordinators and representatives from each municipality of South Cotabato, namely, Tupi, Polomolok, Tampakan, Tantangan, Surallah, Banga, Sto. Niño, Lake Sebu, T’boli, Norala, and including the component city, Koronadal.
The event started at 9:00 in the morning. Chief Administrative Officer III Madres gave the welcoming message and served as the presiding officer, together with Nutrition Officer Frugalidad, of the meeting.
The meeting included updates and needed action on supplementary feeding in the province such as BATAK (Buntis Alagaan Tamang Atensyon Kailangan) and SAGOP Bata Supplementary Feeding, and orientation workshop on PPAN (Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition) 2017-2022 and its covered matters particularly L/BNAP (Local/Barangay Nutrition Action Plan) reports. MELLPI Pro (Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol) schedule of evaluation for BNS (Barangay Nutrition Scholar) per municipality was also discussed in the meeting.
The province of South Cotabato conducts monthly meetings for MNAOs to provide schedules for training/meetings and seek updates on nutrition activities and programs. This ensures more efficient implementation and monitoring of activities for nutrition in the province
