SOCCSKSARGENNational Nutrition Council XII is set for the 2021 Nutrition Month Celebration. This year’s theme, “Malnutrisyon patuloy na labanan, First 1000 days tutukan!" intends to raise awareness on the nutrition issue and encourage various stakeholders to participate and engage in activities to improve nutrition.     Specifically, the campaign aims to: increase the understanding of the first 1000 days of life strategy and the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) as the overall framework, facilitate collaboration among various stakeholders for scaled-up interventions to fight malnutrition and generate actions from stakeholders about nutrition.

NNC XII has lined up activities for this year’s nutrition month celebration which include, hanging of streamers, radio guesting on July 1 (with media partners: NDBC, DXVL and DXKI), First 1000 days and stunting radio series, Nutri-Talino (quiz on-air), E-quiz, Digital Poster making Contest Season 2, Healthy Buntis Photo contest, Nutri-Bibo kid, Nutri-Tiktok Battle, Nutri-Cooking Vlog Complementary Food Cooking Contest and 2021 Online Search for the Best Gulayan sa Bakuran.      Full guidelines of the said contests/activities can be accessed via NNC Webpage thru this link:

Meanwhile, the Regional Media Group—Nutri-DOSE, will also take part in supporting the campaign by featuring nutrition-related activities such as airing of plugs in their respective stations and radio program for Nutrition in partnership with Notre Dame broadcasting Corporation-Kidapawan City to be aired from Monday to Wednesday (10am-11am) for the whole month of July.  Virtual Regional Launching for Nutrition Month will also be conducted on the 2nd of July at 9:00 in the morning.

NNC calls for continued action for nutrition as guided by the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) to address malnutrition problems.
