Nutrition month is celebrated to create greater awareness among Filipinos on the importance of good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. The National Nutrition Council Region XII has partnered with DXND Radyo Bida, Kidapawan City to disseminate factual information and promote good and healthy nutrition practices to the public.
Usapang Nutrisyon is a one-hour radio program that tackles various nutrition programs of NNC. It is live on-air and on Facebook thru DXND Radyo Bida Kidapawan City and shared to NNC Regional Facebook Page. Usapang Nutrisyon started last July 5, 2021, with topics regarding the 2021 Nutrition Month Celebration. OIC-NPC Flores, as the guest speaker for the day, lays the rationale of the campaign and encouraged everyone to join the Regional NM digital activities and contests. On July 6, PNC Nadela discussed the importance of the First 1000 days of life and the consequences of inadequate nutrition during the first 1000 days period. NO I Laurito last July 7, explained the 10 Kumainments and encouraged the listeners to adopt a healthy lifestyle and correct nutrition practices.
Usapang Nutrisyon will be back on air with much more interesting topics on second week of July. OIC-RNPC Flores shall discuss the 2020 Regional Nutrition Situation and Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition on July 12-14. Kidapawan City Nutrition Committee and Cotabato Provincial Nutrition Committee will serve as guests for Usapang Nutrisyon on July 19 and 21. NO II Utlang shall be joined by Ms. Bation for BNS Special hour on July 26 and 27. Lastly, NO II Aurel on July 28 will discuss the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol (MELLPI Pro).
