SOCCSKSARGEN--The National Nutrition Council XII held its annual Team Building activity on October 15-16, 2021 at Marlet’s View Resort, Maasim, Sarangani. The activity with the theme "The Challenge of Change: Igniting Team Spirit," aims to develop strength for managing changes or challenges faced by the group, while also encouraging collaboration to improve productivity and spread positivity throughout the workplace.
Ms. Rowena I. Lopez, RN, MAN served as the Resource Speaker and facilitated team building activities. The “Traffic Jam” challenge, in which the employees were split into two groups, was deemed as the highlight which fosters teamwork and group thinking. To solve the Traffic Jam, the group must combine their physical skills with collective problem solving and cooperation skills. Following the games, each group discussed their thoughts and shared insights on the exercises, including how they dealt with the learnings and lessons gained while completing the tasks.
The whole activity brought the team together to strengthen and grow the team's capabilities, interpersonal relationships and camaraderie both inside and outside of work. It also provided not only an opportunity for the team to interact, blend and converse with one another but also to reconnect with nature, rejuvenating the staff's overall well-being.
The team building activity left a high level of team spirit among the NNC XII Staff. Being reinvigorated, the employees are confidently ready to face and overcome any challenges that may come their way in the implementation of the agency’s programs, projects and activities this year and in the years ahead.
