KORONADAL CITY, SOUTH COTABATO - The Department of Social Welfare and Development Region XII, the lead agency in the implementation of the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) Program, conducted a face-to-face meeting for the finalization of the Regional Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the program.
Together with the National Nutrition Council XII, represented by EPAHP Focal Person Kristine Charl Nadela, focal persons and representatives from other partner agencies for the program, including but not limited to the Department of Agriculture XII, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology XII, National Irrigation Administration, Department of Education XII, and Landbank of the Philippines, were also present in the meeting, with a total of 22 participants.
The meeting was held at Agua Frio Resort, Koronadal City last October 22, 2021. This was facilitated by DSWD XII Operation Specialist Danilo M. Fajardo Jr. and Project Development Officer II Angel Visayas. The meeting focused on the focal persons’ discussion of the obligations specified by their agencies in the Regional MOU for the implementation of the EPAHP Program. After the discussion, revisions and finalization of the MOU were made, for forwarding to and final review of regional directors and heads.
The Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP) is one of the banner programs of the Inter-Agency Task Force Zero Hunger, which was created under the Executive Order 101 Series 2020 with an objective to eradicate hunger, guarantee food security, and establish sustainable agriculture by 2030.
The agencies in the region are set to finalize the Regional MOU and hold a Ceremonial Signing this year, for a smooth implementation of the EPAHP Program in the upcoming year. (PNFP NADELA/NOIII FLORES)
