Regional Inter-Agency Committee- Indigenous People Health Caravan. Attended and participated by four (4) active regional partners, namely, National Nutrition Council, Department of Health, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples and Department of Social Welfare and Development.
The Health Caravan aims to promote and intensify the campaign for CoviD-19 Vaccination and to promote the First 1000 Days (F1KD) strategy to address chronic malnutrition, particularly stunting in pre- and post-pandemic situations.
Provincial Nutrition Focal Point for Sultan Kudarat, Ms. Kristine Lorraine Madayag represented NNC XII. Information and Education campaign were rendered through discussions on 10 Kumainments, First 1000 Days ni Baby emphasizing the six (6) critical interventions and services to be implemented and availed by the target groups. Activities of the caravan were IECs on CoViD-19, proper handwashing, distribution of leaflets, hygiene kits and basic medical supplies.
With the success of the Health Caravan, the team is planning for next area to visit to deliver the same services. Brgy leaders through Chairman David Cubi expressed their thanks for the conduct of Health Caravan as it was able to assist and help the tribal community access the basic services of the government.
