The National Nutrition Council XII together with the officers of the Region XII Barangay Nutrition Scholar (BNS) Federation Incorporated gathered the BNS Presidents of SOCCSKSARGEN last 31 January 2022, in the afternoon via Zoom videoconference for the first general assembly.

The activity provided an avenue to discuss technical concerns and updates on nutrition, discuss BNS federation concerns specifically its functionality, as well as the benefits a BNS can avail as a member of the regional federation.

 Matters discussed during the said activity are the following: regional nutrition situation for Calendar Year (CY) 2021; review of Electronic Operation Timbang (EOPT) Plus and Mid Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) assessment; Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol (MELLPI Pro) review; promotion of social media activities; regional BNS federation updates; BNS benefits and privileges; and status and updates of BNS ID and BNS Hygiene Kits Allocation.

The BNS presidents committed to encouraged all their fellow BNSs in their respective areas to become a member of the regional BNS federation.

RNPC Laquihon hopes that the information shared and discussed during the general assembly will provide efficient and effective information dissemination in the respective municipality or city as well as an opportunity for consultation, sustainability and enhancement of the BNS federation in the region.
