NUTRISKWELA FINAL ARTICLE

SOCCSKSARGEN—The National Nutrition Council XII headed by Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator, Ms. Retsebeth Laquihon, has completed its Nutriskwela Community Radio Station Monitoring for the first semester of the year.   Currently, Region XII has a total of six (6) Nutriskwela Radio stations in partnership with Local Government Units and Educational institution. The monitoring activity for 2022 was conducted to the following stations:

  • Radyo Katilingban, SKSU, Tacurong City- January 13
  • Radyo Kadulangan, Kalamansig, Sultan Kudarat- January 17
  • Radyo Kasaganaan, Maitum, Sarangani- January 28
  • Radyo Katribu, Tboli, South Cotabato- February 8
  • Radyo Kahiusa, Tupi, South Cotabato-February 9
  • Radyo Kasadya, Pres. Roxas, Cotabato-February 10

The purpose of the said activity is to know the status and progress on the operations of the partner radio station. During the monitoring, the team were able to discuss the results of the previous monitoring with highlights on the findings and recommendations for improving station programming. RNPC Laquihon also stressed the need of partners' cooperation and support in keeping Nutriskwela radio stations afloat as a long-term and cost-efficient strategy to address the problem of hunger and malnutrition in the Region.

Nutriskwela Community Radio’s aim is to empower the community by disseminating correct, relevant, and up-to-date nutrition and health information, as well as educational and developmental information from all relevant community sectors, government agencies non-governmental organizations and other instrumentalities.
