Nutrition Symposium

Department of the Interior and Local Government Unit Regional Office (DILG) on July 4, 2022 officially participated in the month-long celebration.

Regional Director Josephine Cabrido-Leysa, CESO III highlighted in her opening message the importance of having good nutrition and a healthy lifestyle. She also advocated the importance of securing optimum nutrition in the first 1000 days, especially among the pregnant and lactating employees and employees with children under 2 years old to observe and practice the essential services and interventions for the First 1000 days.

NO III Annalita Mae Flores served as a Resource speaker during their Nutrition Month Launching and discussed the Rationale and key messages of the 2022 Nutrition Month Theme. She emphasized the need to strengthen good nutrition as an individual and persuaded the DILG Office to assist NNC in ensuring that Nutrition Program is comprehensively integrated into the Local Government Units Comprehensive Development Plan and Annual Investment Program to boost nutrition resiliency.

The Regional Office of DILG also launched their Sustansyarap Cooking Contest as part of their Nutrition Month Celebration activity. (RNPCRML/NOIIIAMF)
