The 2012 First Joint Meeting of the P/CNAO’s and D/CNPC’s was successfully organized last March 09 at NNC XII Conference Room, Koronadal City. The said meeting dealt with the different topics and issues raised from the agenda. The group provides suggestion and recommendation, even gave remarks and reached into agreements in respect on the issues. Nutrition Program Coordinator (NPC) Latonio, futher gave descriptions regarding the topics: Automated OPT forms, OPT Plus Guidelines on Fabrication, Verification and maintenance of Height Boards; MELLPI forms; Nutrition Month Activity; and recently the Recipe Cooking Contest.

Maria Ana Uy, Provincial Nutrition Action Officer( PNAO) of South Cotabato, also suggested points concerning the OPT Plus Forms such as to include two columns indicating the IP group as to where the child belongs. In addition, Ms. Uy suggested not to include the transient children on the list so as the inclusion of special case for underweight children affected by congenital diseases, but must be given adequate attention for their serious illness.

On the other hand,the BNS Regional Federation President, Ms. Nena Larida shared updates about the meeting she attended in Manila last February 19-23, 2012. Moreover, appointment of the NAOPA SOCCSKSARGEN CHAPTER officers has been completed in the leadership of Dr. Lalaine Calonzo, City Nutrition Action Officer (CNAO) of General Santos City, as president. The meeting ended in person NPC Latonio as chair of the assembly.
