The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team of SOCCSKSARGEN has already started conducting the Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol (MELLPI Pro), particularly for the Local Nutrition Focal Points for CY 2021. A validation visit was conducted in Brgy. Ginatilan, Kidapawan City, in search of the Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar on August 11, 2022. The following day, August 12, the team assessed the CY 2021 performance of local nutrition focal points covering the City Nutrition Action Officer and City Nutrition Program Coordinator.

This annual monitoring and evaluation is carried out to assess the progress of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition (PPAN) implementation at the local level, based on LGU accomplishments in service delivery systems and the performance of Local Nutrition Focal points using the Updated Nutrition Monitoring and Evaluation Protocol or MELLPI Pro tool.  (DMO II Aurel/NO III Flores/RNPC)
