17-19 August 2022--- The Municipal Nutrition Committee of Antipas held a planning workshop for the Municipal Nutrition Action Plan 2023-2025 as part of its full commitment to improving nutritional status. The 3-day activity was facilitated by DMOs II Leah Fe Utlang and Danah Pearl Aurel along with the HRH-ND of DOH, Alexus Jane Malaluan. Representatives from various offices and sectors were able to draft their nutrition action plan and budget proposals for their nutrition program's implementation in 2023-2025.

The workshop included ten sessions that covered the following topics: (1) Why Invest in Nutrition; (2) Functions of LNC, Nutrition Office and NAOs  (3) Nutrition Program Management Cycle (4) Formulating Nutrition Situational Analysis and Causal Model  (5) Formulation of Mission, Vision, Objectives (6) Setting Outcome Targets of the LGU (7) Defining projects and activities to achieve outcome targets (8) Formulating Project Briefs (9) Formulation of the Monitoring and Evaluation Plan (10) Putting together the 2023-2025 Nutrition Action Plan.  Following the sessions, re-entry planning was carried out to identify the next steps and activities to finalize the MNAP and ensure its integration into the Comprehensive Development Plan.

Newly designated Municipal Nutrition Action Officer, Ms. Harahqueen Varon, expressed her gratitude to NNC XII for the guidance giving light to their Nutrition Action Plan. She also relayed that their Local Chief Executive, Hon. Cristobal Cadungon, will make every effort to support the nutrition program.
