The National Nutrition Council XII facilitates the Nutrition Program Management Training for the Municipality of Kalamansig, Lebak, and Palimbang, Sultan Kudarat (KALEPA) on February 7–10, 2023, held at the Kalamansig Rural Health Office. The aforementioned training is attended by the Nutrition Action Officers, Municipal Health Officers, NDDP, and representatives of the Local Nutrition Committee Members of the three municipalities.

The training aims to provide technical assistance to the mentioned municipalities in organizing, revitalizing, and mobilizing their respective Local Nutrition Committees. Furthermore, the training aims to educate the key personnel from line offices about their roles and responsibilities in battling the war against malnutrition, since the nutrition and health office can't win this fight alone.

The training involves discussions on basic foods and nutrition, the introduction of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition 2023–2028, integrating nutrition programs into local governance and development systems, and expatiation on the phases of Nutrition Program Management.

Nutrition Program Management Training envisions that the local nutrition committee will realize that nutrition improvement is a committee work. Thus, let the nutrition committee do it; they must not make it a management audit. (FMM/AMF/RML)
