Participants from Makato, Batan and Tangalan, Aklan, Pilar and Maayon, Capiz, Maasin and Janiuay, Iloilo and E.B. Magalona, Negros Occidental attended the 4-day Nutrition Program Management (NPM) Training last July 18-21 at Eon Centennial Plaza Hotel, Iloilo City.

Resource persons on the said training include Nona B. Tad-y, Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator; Sheryl Sedantes, Nutrition Officer II; Dr. N.L. Cathrel Nava, Provincial Health Officer of the Province of Guimaras; Dr. Anthony Redaniel, DMO IV, DOH-RVI ; Ms. Melinda Jamelo; and Dr. Mercedes Ballarta, MHO/MNAO – Lambunao, Iloilo.

The training was divided into eight (8) modules with the purpose of teaching the members of the Municipal Nutrition Committee on how to formulate a sound, comprehensive and effective Local Nutrition Action Plan.

Output of the training is a draft LNAP with refinements made after presentation and a re-entry plan of each municipality.
