Iloilo - The 2nd tranche fund for the Early Childhood Care and Development in the First 1000 Days (ECCD F1K) amounting to P1. 704,237.54 was released to the Municipality of Tigbauan during their Municipal Nutrition Committee Meeting on May 30, 2019.

RNPC Nona B. Tad-y handed the cheque in behalf of the National Nutrition Council to Mayor Suzette Alquisada while MHO/MNAO Dr. Josefa Monserate, ECCD F1K PNC Gelaine Pet Trabado, and other MNC members witnessed the turning over. Activities on nutrition education, food demonstration, home, and community food production (HCFP) and TAME expenses such as traveling expenses, supplies, communication and gasoline expenses will be covered by the fund.

As one of the ECCD F1K areas, Tigbauan had the opportunity to benefit from the program with activities such as HCFP and Dietary Supplementation Program for Pregnant Women. Barangay Implementers have also been trained on the DOST-PINOY module, Idol Ko Si Nanay! modules and taught how to use the ECCD Checklist Record I for monitoring developmental delays of 0-3 years old.
